Sanders Ferry Park
Old Hickory Lake
Sanders Ferry Park is a lakeside public park operated by Hendersonville Parks and Recreation. It is conveniently located for easy access for day use. It offers visitors an array of activities and amenities. This park offers areas for picnicking, basketball, disc golf, fishing, model airplane flying, children’s playgrounds and more.
The park has seven picnic shelters equipped with grills. These shelters measure 20 feet by 40 feet and can accommodate 40 to 50 people. Reservations are not required to use a shelter, but to guarantee shelter availability a reservation is needed. Reservations cannot be made over the phone. Instead, the person making the reservation must go to Hendersonville City Hall to complete a form and pay a rental fee. There is one larger pavilion, which measures 45 feet by 86 feet with the ability to accommodate up to 250 people.

The park also has two sets of restroom facilities for added convenience. The children can enjoy the two different playgrounds on site. There is a basketball court and a handicap-accessible boat and fishing pier. Other offerings include an 18-hole disc golf course and a model airplane field for those who enjoy flying model planes.
